Imsil County to Offer Onnuri Gift Certificate Refunds at Traditional Market for Chuseok

"Easing the Perceived Cost of Agricultural and Livestock Products
and Boosting Consumption"

Imsil County in North Jeolla Province announced on September 29 that, in celebration of Chuseok, it will hold an event at Imsil Traditional Market to refund 30% of the purchase amount spent on domestically produced agricultural and livestock products in the form of Onnuri Gift Certificates. This initiative aims to ease the perceived cost of agricultural and livestock products and to boost consumption.

This event, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, will take place from October 1 to 5 at 12 stores within Imsil Traditional Market that sell domestically produced agricultural and livestock products. The participating stores are Gwanchon Sanghoe, Munhwa Meat House, Susan Butcher Shop, Sinsun Meat Mart, Sinpung Fresh Produce, Uribomine, Imsil Vegetables, Mixed Grains Shop, Jungang Butcher Shop, Chowon Butcher Shop, Hangane Butcher Shop, and Haenam Sanghoe.


During the event, customers who purchase agricultural and livestock products for at least 34,000 won will receive 10,000 won in Onnuri Gift Certificates, while those who spend at least 67,000 won can receive up to 20,000 won in certificates.


To receive the refund, customers must present the receipt issued on the day of purchase at the Imsil Market Merchants Association office, which operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Since identity verification is required, customers must bring a valid ID.


County Governor Sim Min stated, "Through this event, we hope to ease the holiday shopping burden for residents and revitalize the traditional market by boosting the consumption of agricultural and livestock products."
