September 29-30
At the Youth Center and near the back gate of Chonnam National University
Gwangju Bukgu District announced on September 29 that it will host the '2025 Youth Festa' for two days until the 30th at the Bukgu Youth Center and the area near the back gate of Chonnam National University.
The 'Youth Festa' is a festival held every September to commemorate Youth Day. Its purpose is to foster a sense of solidarity among young people and to promote youth culture.
To ensure that this year's event is led by young people, Bukgu District recruited a planning committee consisting of local youth in June. The committee discussed the slogan, concept, detailed programs, and overall promotional activities to prepare for the festival.
This year's slogan is 'Ordinary Yet Precious Youth,' aiming to highlight the everyday lives of young people, which may seem ordinary but are truly valuable. On September 29, the Youth Center and the Happiness Harmony Center will host activities such as gathering opinions on youth policy, personal color and fragrance consulting, baking and craft classes, and financial lectures.
On September 30, more than 40 side events will take place around the back gate of Chonnam National University, including a commemorative ceremony, youth street karaoke, youth market, craft experiences, youth policy promotion, and jazz performances. The commemorative ceremony will be attended by over 100 people, including Mayor Moon In of Bukgu District, district council members, and local youth, and will feature a screening of a youth policy video, a picture frame lighting performance, and a commemorative photo session. Following this, the 'Youth Golden Open Stage' will be held, where participants who sing 'Golden,' the theme song of the animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' will receive gifts.
Mayor Moon In stated, "We have carefully prepared this event to support the young people who will lead our future," adding, "We will implement highly effective youth policies so that young people can envision their future in Bukgu."
