Signing of Win-Win Sisterhood Agreement
Promoting Various Exchanges for Local Revitalization
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups signed a win-win sisterhood partnership agreement with Mokpo City and Korea Venture Investment on the 29th at the Mokpo Gourmet Culture Gallery Haegwan 1897 in Mokpo, Jeonnam.
This agreement is part of the "Local Revitalization Win-Win Consumption Promotion Plan" announced on August 7. Starting with the agreement with Mokpo City on this day, the Ministry plans to sequentially establish sisterhood ties with Tongyeong City and Muan County, and to promote various exchanges and win-win cooperation to expand local consumption and revitalize tourism.

Hansung Sook, Minister of SMEs and Startups, stated, "Mokpo is not only famous as a gourmet city, but also an attractive city rich in modern and contemporary historical and cultural heritage, with natural scenery such as Mokpo Port and Yudalsan, and is often called an open-air museum. I hope that today's agreement ceremony will increase nationwide interest in Mokpo, breathe new vitality into the region, and serve as a starting point for creating new hope."
The ceremony was attended by Cho Seokhoon, Acting Mayor of Mokpo, Kim Won-i, National Assembly member from the Democratic Party of Korea, and Lee Daehee, CEO of Korea Venture Investment, who expressed their commitment to overcoming the crisis of regional extinction and revitalizing the local economy through practical win-win cooperation and ongoing exchanges.
After the ceremony, Minister Han visited Dongbu Market, a representative traditional market in Mokpo, purchased local specialties, and listened to the opinions of merchants.
