On-site Applications and Distribution at the Geochang Hanmadang Grand Festival
Mobile Services at Traditional Markets Ahead of Chuseok
Geochang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on September 29 that it is actively operating "mobile application counters" to enable residents to apply for and receive the 2nd Phase Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons more quickly and conveniently.
During the county's largest festival, the Geochang Hanmadang Grand Festival, an on-site counter was set up inside the Sports Park so that residents visiting the festival could enjoy the festivities and apply for the consumption coupons at the same time. The counter, which operated from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., allowed for easy application and receipt of the coupons, receiving a positive response from residents. To facilitate this, staff from the Economic Enterprise Division volunteered their participation without any additional personnel being hired, providing smooth civil services.
In consideration of traditional market merchants who find it difficult to leave their shops ahead of the Chuseok holiday, a mobile application service was operated at the office of the Traditional Market Merchants' Association, enabling 209 association members to apply on-site.
For this 2nd round of distribution, Geochang County continues to prioritize resident convenience by offering tailored services in collaboration with administrative welfare centers. Various methods such as mobile applications, weekend and evening registration are being provided so that residents can easily apply wherever they wish.
The consumption coupons can be used until November 30. With the Chuseok holiday approaching, the county is encouraging early applications and prompt distribution to boost sales for local small business owners and to revitalize the local economy.
