On September 28, Kang Heeup, the Second Vice Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, visited Incheon International Airport to inspect congestion management measures in response to the aftermath of the National Information Resources Service fire and the upcoming Chuseok holiday. Vice Minister Kang urged airport officials to make every effort to stabilize airport operations so that the public's travel plans would not be disrupted.

That afternoon, Vice Minister Kang visited Terminal 1 of Incheon Airport and confirmed, "Despite the fire at the National Information Resources Service, major services at airports nationwide are being provided stably and without significant disruption, thanks to measures such as expanding the use of valid identification and implementing post-payment for parking fees."

He went on to say that a total of 1,102,000 passengers are expected to depart from Incheon Airport during the extended holiday period of up to 11 days, and instructed officials to "flexibly operate processing facilities and personnel to ensure swift departures and enhance convenience for travelers."

Regarding the airport subsidiary labor union strike scheduled during Chuseok, he emphasized the importance of preemptively inspecting the airport's emergency response system and deploying essential personnel and substitute workers immediately in the event of a strike, in order to maintain flight operations and passenger services.

Vice Minister Kang also encouraged on-site staff, stating, "Please do your utmost to minimize public inconvenience caused by the fire by thoroughly inspecting and monitoring facilities, and make every effort to ensure safety and security throughout the long holiday period."
