This joint inspection involved a total of about 20 participants, including officials from Gumi City Hall, Gumi Police Station, and the Gumi Youth Harmful Environment Monitoring Group. The team focused on checking for violations of the Youth Protection Act and also carried out educational activities to raise awareness about youth protection.
In particular, the inspection team launched a campaign to promote the prohibition of alcohol and tobacco sales to adolescents. They distributed promotional stickers and informational materials bearing the message, "We do not sell alcohol or tobacco to anyone under 19," and also conducted preventive campaigns to protect adolescents from substance abuse and addiction to drugs and other harmful substances, thereby taking practical steps to educate the community.
Superintendent Min Byungdo stated, "I hope this joint inspection will help block harmful environments for adolescents and foster a healthy atmosphere in the local community," adding, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that adolescents can focus on their studies in a safe environment."
