Collaborative Performance at Seorae Village Park
Seocho District in Seoul (District Mayor Jeon Seongsoo) will host a special "Jazz Concert" at 6:00 p.m. on September 29 at Paris 15th District Park in Seorae Village, as part of its cultural and artistic exchange with its international sister city, the 15th District of Paris, France.
Performance collaboration between Seocho District and Paris 15th District in 2024. Provided by Seocho District.
This performance will feature a collaborative stage by "Jeans," a youth jazz team from Seocho District, and Charles Quini, an accordionist and composer representing Paris 15th District. Charles Quini, a graduate of the Conservatoire National Sup?rieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSM de Paris), will take the stage in Seorae Village after participating in the "Night of Classics," the main event of the "2025 Seoripul Music Festival" held on September 27.
The concert program includes jazz arrangements of French chansons, original compositions by young artists from Seocho District, and joint performances by both teams. The audience can look forward to a rich musical synergy blending the vibrant energy of young Korean jazz musicians with the unique sensibility of French music.
Last year, Seocho District also presented a collaborative performance by Paris 15th District jazz artist Laure Zellinger and young artist "Ash," which was met with an enthusiastic response from over 100 French residents of Seorae Village and local citizens.
Jeon Seongsoo, Mayor of Seocho District, stated, "Through this concert, I hope Seocho District and Paris 15th District will become even closer through culture and the arts, and that French residents and local citizens in Seorae Village can come together to create meaningful memories on a refreshing autumn night."
