A total of 64 systems have been rendered inaccessible, including 47 public service systems such as Policy Briefing, the Ministry’s official website, the Illegal Speculative Industry Monitoring and Reporting Center, Korea.net, and the websites of overseas cultural centers; 6 specialized services for specific users such as the Integrated Email for Public Officials and E-Briefing for the press; and 11 internal systems including the Ministry’s work portal.

A Ministry official stated that, in order to minimize public inconvenience, online civil service requests (such as certificates of career and nonprofit corporation-related tasks) previously handled through the Ministry’s website will now be received and processed via telephone, fax, or in-person visits. Additionally, emergency response measures will be implemented, including shifting the reporting and registration work for the Illegal Speculative Industry Monitoring and Reporting Center and periodical publication registration management to telephone-based processing. The Ministry also mentioned that, in preparation for potential delays in system recovery, it is considering providing alternative access to services such as the website and Policy Briefing by utilizing servers of the Korea Culture Information Service Agency.
The Ministry emphasized that another Central Accident Response Headquarters meeting was held at 5 p.m. under the Minister’s leadership to discuss countermeasures for the system disruptions, and it will continue to work closely with related agencies, including the National Information Resources Service and the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, to minimize public inconvenience.
