Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwangdeok) held an 'Education Family Dialogue' on the 26th at Dasan Middle School in Namyangju, where the mayor directly listened to parents and faculty members about the difficulties and suggestions in the educational field and discussed improvement plans.

The event was attended by a wide range of educational stakeholders, including Mayor Joo Gwangdeok, Principal Park Bokyeon, the chairperson of the school management committee, the president of the parents' association, and faculty members. They shared current school issues and engaged in sincere communication to develop practical measures for improving the educational environment.


The main topics discussed included the installation of a canopy for the basketball court and the creation of artificial turf, support for physical education equipment, securing a public parking lot, and increasing the number of senior staff in the cafeteria. These measures aim to improve both the educational activities and living environment of the students.


Mayor Joo Gwangdeok stated, "It is very meaningful to visit Dasan Middle School, which embraces Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, the most precious treasure of Namyangju," and added, "Based on the feedback shared during today's dialogue, I will do my utmost to ensure that students can continue their learning and growth in a better environment."


The city plans to continue closely communicating with the educational community through future Education Family Dialogues, actively supporting the educational field, and developing customized educational policies that reflect the characteristics of each region, thereby realizing a student-centered educational city.
