This weekend, Gwangju and Jeollanam-do are expected to experience rain due to the influence of a stationary front and a low-pressure system. In some areas, heavy rainfall may occur within a short period, so caution is advised for road safety.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, on the 27th, the region will be affected by a stationary front located over the southern part of the West Sea. The expected precipitation is between 10 and 50 millimeters in most areas of Gwangju and Jeollanam-do. Morning temperatures are forecast to range from 19 to 21 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 23 and 27 degrees Celsius.
On the 28th, the area will initially be affected by a low-pressure system moving eastward near the Bohai Sea, but this influence will gradually diminish. Expected precipitation is between 10 and 40 millimeters, with morning temperatures ranging from 19 to 22 degrees Celsius and daytime highs between 23 and 27 degrees Celsius.
An official from the Meteorological Administration stated, "Heavy rain may sharply reduce visibility, and some roads could become slippery or flooded," adding, "Please pay special attention to traffic safety over the weekend."
