The Mokpo Maritime Police Station in South Jeolla Province has taken steps to strengthen cooperation with the National Mokpo Quarantine Station to protect public safety.
The Mokpo Coast Guard announced on the 26th that it had invited 10 officials, including the head of the National Mokpo Quarantine Station, to the 3015 vessel on the 25th for a tour of the ship and a hands-on experience with suppression equipment.
This event was organized to enhance mutual understanding between the two organizations and to establish a close cooperation system.
The 3015 vessel introduced the main duties and roles of the maritime police and provided an opportunity for quarantine officers to directly experience patrol vessel equipment and suppression gear, allowing them to better understand the operational environment at sea.
Officials who participated in the event remarked that this tour went beyond a simple institutional visit, describing it as a meaningful exchange that reflects their shared goal of protecting the lives and safety of the public.
Kang Seungnam, captain of the 3015 vessel, stated, "Both organizations were able to broaden their understanding and lay the foundation for cooperation," adding, "We will continue to work closely with related agencies to protect the public from various threats."
