The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education held a kickoff meeting for the "Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Information Resource Integration" project on the 26th at the Nambu Office in Gwanggyo, Suwon. The information resource integration project aims to consolidate information resources, previously dispersed across affiliated organizations, into a cloud-based system.
The office, together with the lead contractor ITCen Entech, will establish a common infrastructure by June next year and will sequentially migrate and integrate each institution's services.
Certain services will be redeveloped in a standardized format for integration, and larger programs will be managed independently as smaller service units by transitioning to a Microservice Architecture (MSA) approach.
In particular, the office plans to ensure security and stability by inspecting for potential vulnerabilities in the integrated services and taking preemptive measures. For services frequently used by students, parents, and staff, information resources will be allocated flexibly to improve service quality.

In addition, the office will introduce an IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
Kim Youngjin, Director of Planning and Coordination at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, stated, "Integrating information resources is an essential task to further strengthen the digital safety net in the educational field and to continuously provide stable educational services. With the launch of this project, I hope everyone will work even harder to establish a trustworthy digital environment for both students and staff in Gyeonggi education."
Meanwhile, through this project, the office plans to establish a professional and stable operational management system capable of responding to changes in the future educational environment and to actively lead smart administration that drives digital transformation.
