The Korea Financial Investment Association held a meeting on the 26th with Koichi Matsushita, Chairman of the Japan Investment Trust Association (JITA), to discuss strengthening cooperation between the capital markets of Korea and Japan.
The meeting was organized to explore various cooperation strategies aimed at the mutual development of the capital markets in both countries. Attendees included Chairman Seo Yuseok and staff from the Korea Financial Investment Association, as well as Chairman Koichi Matsushita and staff from JITA on the Japanese side.
The two associations agreed to continue maintaining a close cooperative relationship in the future. They also decided to work together in areas such as the development of asset management products, as well as the exchange of information and personnel, with the goal of advancing their economies and increasing national wealth through the capital markets.
Seo Yuseok, Chairman of the Korea Financial Investment Association, stated, "Korea and Japan not only share geographical proximity but also have many similarities in the development of their capital markets, which means there is significant potential for mutually complementary cooperation."
He further emphasized, "If we combine Japan's extensive experience in the asset management industry with Korea's innovative capabilities, we can create new growth engines in the Asian financial market."
