The Living Lab RISE Center is Dongduk Women's University's first community-based festival, selected as the "Local Culture Generation Together Living Lab" project under the Seoul RISE initiative. This festival is a collaborative program in which local business owners and community activists in the Jangwol-ro area work together through cultural and artistic formats to revitalize the local business district.

In particular, the festival will create a route stretching from Wolgok Five-Way Intersection to the area around Donga Apartments, hosting a participatory art festival that integrates the businesses located along the route with the Dongduk Living Lab RISE business improvement program.

During "2025 Seongbuk: Live," the Alley Banner Project will feature streetlight banners displaying messages from shop owners installed throughout the neighborhood.

A total of 11 establishments-Gongbok Restaurant, Donkim Master Gamjatang, Mikuk Pizza, Bamgol Gopchang, Sushi Show, Adam Flower, Yojit, Chogye Won, Katsu Bom, Tora Katsu, and Hwadeok and Beethoven-will participate, offering visitors the enjoyment of walking through the alley and reading messages written by each business.

Shops in the Jangwol-ro 1-gil area will display knitted signs at their entrances.

This connects the context of Wolgok's clothing and sewing industry to the present. Handicraft works, linked to the local history, will be reinterpreted and installed as artworks tailored to each business's unique characteristics.

"Seongbuk: Live" is open to everyone free of charge, and detailed event schedules can be found on the poster and the Dongduk Women's University RISE Project Team website.

Meanwhile, since last month, the Dongduk Women's University Living Lab RISE Center has been recruiting community activists and running programs such as "Generation Together Business Improvement," "Generation Together Skill Exchange," "Seongbuk: Live," and "Generation Together Festival" as part of the "Local Culture Generation Together Living Lab" initiative.

Anyone, including residents of Seongbuk-gu, can apply to participate and join these activities.

Participation applications can be found on the Dongduk Women's University RISE Project Team website.
