Ji-ae Lee, Managing Director of KB Investment, is giving a lecture at the KB Starters Expert Seminar held at the Gangnam Hub event hall, a startup incubation space of KB Financial Group.
KB Financial Group announced on September 26 that it had held the KB Starters Expert Seminar.
During the lecture session, experts in accounting, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and fundraising shared practical, hands-on know-how. In the networking session, startup representatives and experts exchanged practical advice on overall business operations, including business strategy and management improvement, and explored future opportunities for collaboration such as fundraising and partnerships.
To further realize productive finance and expand the supply of venture capital, KB Financial Group will additionally operate a meetup for venture capital (VC) and accelerator (AC) investors, jointly managed by the KB Innovation HUB Center and Korea Growth Investment Corporation. Through separate events following the seminar, KB Financial Group plans to actively support startups so that the insights gained from the lectures can be directly connected to actual investments and tangible results.
KB Starters are selected from startups established within the past seven years and receive a wide range of support, including opportunities for collaboration with KB Financial Group affiliates, investment linkage, professional mentoring, office space, and global expansion assistance. To date, 394 companies have been selected, four have become unicorns, and a cumulative total of 28.14 billion won has been raised in investments.
A representative from KB Financial Group stated, "We organized this seminar to provide startups with the knowledge and networks they need on the ground, while also offering direct connections to investors. Going forward, KB Financial Group will do its utmost to ensure that venture capital is smoothly supplied to startups with innovative technology and high growth potential, thereby strengthening productive finance."
