Low-Interest Installment Financing Launched
for Group-Affiliated Commuter Bus Operators
Hyundai Commercial, in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Company, is supporting the replacement of Hyundai Motor Group’s commuter buses, which have primarily used diesel vehicles, with eco-friendly vehicles.
On September 26, Hyundai Commercial announced the launch of an installment financing product that offers lower interest rates to bus operators running commuter buses for group affiliates when purchasing Hyundai Motor Company’s eco-friendly vehicle, the Universe Hydrogen Electric Bus.
With the launch of this product, 75 bus operators nationwide that operate commuter buses can purchase the Universe at a minimum interest rate of 4.7%, which is 2 percentage points lower than the standard bus installment product.
Small businesses with average annual sales of 14 billion won or less can further reduce the interest rate by an additional 1.3 percentage points if they pay the down payment with a Hyundai Card. The installment period can be selected for up to 84 months.
A Hyundai Commercial representative stated, “We have developed this product to support bus operators seeking to replace commuter buses with eco-friendly vehicles in line with the group’s direction to strengthen its eco-friendly vehicle lineup.”
Meanwhile, the Hyundai Motor Company Universe Hydrogen Electric Bus, launched in 2023, is Korea’s leading eco-friendly large bus and the first high-speed large coach to be equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell system.
Recently, a new lineup called the “Prime Trim,” featuring a vehicle length of 12 meters, was added. The Prime Trim comes standard with features such as a driver’s seat air conditioner, smartphone wireless charger, remote cargo compartment locking system, and LED reading lights.
