Damyang County Holds "Sharing Love for Filial Piety" Event Ahead of Chuseok

Ahead of Chuseok, on the 24th, at the Hyangchon Senior Welfare Center, Jeong Cheolwon, the mayor of Damyang County, is delivering jajangmyeon to the elderly at the "Sharing Love for Filial Piety" event. Provided by Damyang County

Damyang County in South Jeolla Province held the "Sharing Love for Filial Piety" event at the Hyangchon Senior Welfare Center on the 24th, ahead of Chuseok, wishing for the health and happiness of local seniors.

The event, hosted by the Hyangchon Senior Welfare Center, brought together local volunteer organizations such as Geumnong Banjeom, the Sharing Love for Filial Piety Volunteer Group, and Chuwol Band to create a space for sharing and unity. The event was also attended by Jang Myeongyeong, Chairperson of the Damyang County Council, council members, and representatives from the welfare foundation. Chuwol Band presented an exciting cultural performance, and the Sharing Love for Filial Piety Volunteer Group served jajangmyeon prepared with care, adding to the abundance of the Chuseok holiday.

On this day, County Mayor Jeong Cheolwon personally served jajangmyeon to the seniors and checked in on their well-being, conveying his warm regards. Mayor Jeong said, "Chuseok is a meaningful holiday when families and neighbors come together and share affection. I can truly feel the richness of Chuseok in the hearts of the seniors and volunteers who joined us despite their busy schedules."
