Joint Nighttime Crackdown by Authorities and Police
on Illegal Business Practices at Food Sanitation Establishments

Seongsan District in Changwon Special City, South Gyeongsang Province, conducted a joint nighttime crackdown with the police to eradicate illegal business practices at entertainment establishments in the Sangnam commercial district.

The crackdown, which took place on the afternoon of September 24, was carried out jointly with Changwon Jungbu Police Station in response to complaints about touting at entertainment venues in the Sangnam commercial district, aiming to establish a sound business environment.

The Sangnam commercial district has a high concentration of entertainment establishments, where illegal business activities related to touting have been repeatedly reported. To eliminate these practices, joint crackdowns will continue to be conducted. Establishments found to be engaging in illegal business practices will receive warnings and be subject to administrative penalties in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Kim Sooyoon, head of the Culture and Sanitation Division, stated, "We will do our utmost to manage and supervise food sanitation businesses to establish a healthy business environment and eradicate illegal business practices in the future."
