Customized Job Training Expands Career Development and Employment Opportunities for Students with Disabilities
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) announced on September 25 that it will implement the "2025 Customized Training Support Project for the Employment of Students with Disabilities" to support career development and stable employment for students with disabilities.
This project is designed to identify suitable job roles for students with disabilities and provide tailored vocational training to help them successfully transition into society.
On this day, the Office of Education held a preliminary consultation meeting with five related local organizations to discuss detailed operational plans. Applications for participation in the project will be accepted from October 13 to October 17. Students selected through interviews with each organization will participate in the four-week training program from October 27 to November 21.
The training program will be operated in a customized manner, reflecting the needs and characteristics of students with disabilities. Specialized vocational training will be provided in various job fields such as office support, AI data labeling, baking and pastry, food service, and manufacturing. Students will be able to experience real work environments and strengthen their practical employment competencies. In addition, professional staff (training support personnel) will be assigned throughout the entire training process to ensure that students can concentrate on their training in a safe and professional environment.
Cho Younggi, Director of Elementary Education at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "Customized job training and employment support are essential for the capacity development and social advancement of students with disabilities. We hope that through this project, students will be able to plan their futures and realize their dreams."
