Muju County Holds 'Anti-Corruption and Integrity Training' for Public Officials

Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, and More

On September 24, Muju County in North Jeolla Province held the "2025 Anti-Corruption and Integrity Training" at the Muju County Residents' Hall.

According to the county, the training was organized to enhance understanding of "anti-corruption systems," promote a culture of integrity within the organization, and improve the county's overall integrity index. Over 200 public officials, including County Governor Hwang Inhong, attended the event.

Kim Deokman, Director of the Institute for Integrity and Ethics and former spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, delivered a lecture titled "The Spread of Integrity Culture and the Role of Leaders," drawing on his seven years of experience in public service.

The lecture received a positive response as it focused on sharing anti-corruption systems and policy cases, including the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act (the law prohibiting improper solicitation and the receipt of money or valuables).

County Governor Hwang Inhong stated, "Integrity cannot be achieved through the efforts of just one person; it can only be upheld when everyone recognizes its importance and puts it into practice together. We will continue to foster a culture of integrity in public service so that officials can take pride in their work."

Meanwhile, Kim Deokman, who was invited as the speaker, has previously served as spokesperson and public relations officer at the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, spokesperson at the National Integrity Committee, and public relations officer at the Anti-Corruption Commission.
