178 Staff Assigned to Situation Room During the Holiday
Maximum Personnel Deployed Across Key Locations on Chuseok Day

Goseong County in South Gyeongsang Province has launched a comprehensive plan for the Chuseok holiday, officially beginning preparations for the festive season.

"No One Will Be Inconvenienced" ... Goseong County Launches Comprehensive Chuseok Holiday Plan Goseong County Office.

The county has established 11 initiatives across four key areas: revitalizing the local economy and stabilizing prices, spreading the value of mutual growth during the holiday, ensuring a safe holiday for all, and providing uninterrupted public services. A total of 178 staff members have been assigned to duty in the situation room.

The comprehensive situation room, organized into 10 teams led by the deputy county governor, will operate from October 3 to October 9 to respond to various disasters and safety incidents.

First, the county has designated the period from September 17 to October 9 as the 'Special Chuseok Holiday Price Stabilization Period' and is operating a local price stabilization task force to control the prices of high-demand goods. The goal is to ease the financial burden on residents caused by rising prices.

Additionally, the county plans to stimulate the local economy by implementing consumption-boosting policies such as expanding the issuance of Goseong Love Gift Certificates for Chuseok, holding Onnuri Gift Certificate reimbursement events, and hosting events at the Dinosaur Country Shopping Mall.

The county will also provide welfare support to marginalized groups to ensure that no neighbor feels lonely during the holiday. Before Chuseok, care packages will be delivered to vulnerable groups and families of veterans, and during the holiday, meal support will be provided for children at risk of missing meals.

To ensure a safe holiday for these groups, the county will organize inspection teams by sector to conduct safety checks at social welfare facilities.

The county will focus on preventing fires and natural or social disasters so that residents can enjoy a safe and secure holiday, operating a disaster safety situation room and thoroughly preparing for any emergencies.

Furthermore, emergency medical response centers will be operated at public health centers and health branches to maintain emergency and urgent care systems.

In particular, the county will minimize confusion regarding emergency medical services during the holiday by providing advance information and promoting the list of open hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.

Public services in Goseong County will continue without interruption throughout the Chuseok holiday.

For household waste, which is a common inconvenience for many residents, collection will be suspended on October 5, 6, and 8. However, special collection and mobile cleaning teams will be deployed to respond promptly to anticipated complaints related to household waste during this period.

Additionally, the county will swiftly address other potential inconveniences by operating a city gas supply complaint center, implementing a rotation system for LPG retailers, and designating emergency water supply zones during the holiday.

Lee Sanggeun, the governor of Goseong County, stated, "As many residents have been looking forward to this long holiday, we are thoroughly preparing to ensure a safe and comfortable Chuseok for everyone. We will do our utmost to ensure that everyone can enjoy a happy holiday with a comprehensive plan covering all aspects of daily life, including prices, healthcare, and safety."
