The delegation visited Tacoma City Hall that day and held a meeting with Victoria Woodards, the mayor of Tacoma. During the meeting, the two cities agreed to establish a foundation for cooperation not only in education but also across various sectors such as culture, economy, and logistics, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) the previous day between Pyeongtaek City and Annie Wright Schools for the establishment of the Pyeongtaek International School.
The delegation then visited the Port of Seattle and discussed logistics cooperation plans with port officials. The Port of Tacoma regularly receives car carrier vessels operated by Hyundai Glovis departing from Pyeongtaek Port, handling finished vehicles and other automotive logistics.
Mayor Jung stated, "Strengthening logistics connectivity between Pyeongtaek Port and Tacoma Port is important for enhancing the competitiveness of industries in both countries," adding, "We will continue to further solidify cooperation between the two cities going forward."
