AI-based English education specialist company EcloudAI Co., Ltd. (formerly Educloud Co., Ltd.) announced on the 25th that it has been selected as a finalist in the 'Best XR/VR/AI Product' category at the 'GESS Global Education Awards 2025' organized by the Informa Group.
The GESS (Global Educational Supplies and Solutions) Global Education Awards is a prestigious international award that recognizes and honors global innovation cases and solutions in the field of education. This year, a record 61 countries participated. This selection marks the second consecutive year, following last year's 'Best Digital Educational Resource/Product' category, demonstrating that the AI digital human native English instructor 'ELEA' continues to be recognized in the global edtech market. The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held in Dubai on November 12.
ELEA was developed to address the shortage of native English instructors and the resulting disparities in class quality caused by frequent instructor turnover. Originating from the challenging reality of small and medium-sized academies in regional areas where even securing full-time English instructors is difficult, ELEA is contributing to bridging educational gaps as an AI solution that reduces dependence on instructors while maintaining class quality. EcloudAI Co., Ltd. plans to accelerate its entry into global markets where securing native English instructors is difficult, leveraging its selection as a finalist for the second consecutive year.
Kim Hak-hyun, CEO of EcloudAI Co., Ltd., stated, "Being selected as a GESS finalist for two consecutive years means that ELEA's innovative technology and educational effectiveness are continuously being recognized in the global market," adding, "It is very meaningful to showcase Korea's edtech capabilities in such fierce competition among 61 countries."
CEO Kim also said, "With the official launch of ELEA English, we are achieving strong business results," and added, "We will further accelerate our overseas expansion, taking this GESS finalist selection as a starting point."
CEO Kim Hak-hyun expressed his ambition by saying, "ELEA will not only serve as a simple AI instructor, but also become a turning point that transforms the paradigm of the education market. Our mission is to help all children enjoy equal educational opportunities, and we will use this selection as a stepping stone to become a globally recognized educational AI company based on our technology and educational philosophy."
