According to the county on September 24th, Imsil Cheese Theme Park creates a spectacular view every autumn with ten million chrysanthemums in full bloom and features a European-style year-round rose garden. It has been selected as a “Star of Korean Tourism” and has established itself as a leading tourist destination in South Korea. In particular, during the chrysanthemum blooming season, hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the country visit, making it one of the most notable autumn attractions in North Jeolla Province.

The entrance fee will be 4,000 won for adults, 3,000 won for seniors aged 65 and over, and 1,000 won for elementary, middle, and high school students. Residents of Imsil County will be granted free admission, as will preschool children, military personnel stationed within the county, national merit recipients, and people with disabilities. However, to accommodate the Chuseok holiday and the ImsilN Cheese Festival, the park will offer free admission from October 6th to 12th, allowing more visitors to enjoy the attractions freely.

This temporary introduction of entrance fees aims to go beyond simply attracting tourists, by contributing to local income generation. Through this, the county seeks to create a virtuous cycle that enhances the efficiency of tourist site management and injects real vitality into the local economy.

The 2025 ImsilN Cheese Festival, to be held at Imsil Cheese Theme Park, will feature a total of 70 programs across 10 categories, including the ImsilN Global Cheese Food Fair, a delicious dessert fondue experience using aged cheese, a national ImsilN Cheese giant rice pizza-making event, and tastings of premium aged cheese made from Jersey cow milk and unsweetened yogurt, which is beneficial for adult diets and bone health.

In addition, the annual display of ten million chrysanthemums, which is always well-received, will offer a fantastic spectacle alongside the European-style rose garden. Visitors of all ages can also enjoy a variety of content, including Imsil’s clean Hanwoo beef raised in pristine natural surroundings and homemade local foods lovingly prepared by the township and village women’s associations.

County Governor Sim Min said, “We expect that this temporary introduction of entrance fees will help create a mutually beneficial structure where tourists contribute to chrysanthemum production, maintenance, and the upkeep of the tourist site environment.” He added, “Admission will be free during Chuseok and the ImsilN Cheese Festival, so we invite many people to visit and create wonderful autumn memories.”
