Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 24th that it has selected Jung Deokmun, an advisor to the Yongin branch of the Korea Fine Arts Association, as the recipient of the 'Art Category' at the 35th Yongin City Cultural Award, and Go Yujeong, director of C&C Art Academy, as the recipient of the 'Community Service Category.'

The Yongin City Cultural Award was established in 1991 to promote the development of local culture, enhance national culture, and elevate the city's status as a center of arts and culture. Every year, the award recognizes local artists and volunteers for their contributions.
Since the early 2000s, Jung Deokmun has played a leading role in the development of the Yongin art community, providing citizens with opportunities to enjoy culture through various art programs such as the Yongin Fine Arts Association's regular member exhibition, international art exchange exhibitions, the Moving Art Village, the Yongin Art Experience Festival, and the Yongin Student Art Sketch Contest.
Go Yujeong has consistently engaged in mural improvement volunteer work, planning the Bojeong-dong Tunnel Mural Project and encouraging the participation of more than 250 citizens. She has donated proceeds from charity exhibitions to vulnerable groups, including children and the elderly, and has actively carried out art experience programs in cooperation with welfare centers for people with disabilities, as well as art education volunteer activities for children with disabilities.
The award ceremony will be held on the 27th during the commemorative event for the 30th Yongin Citizens' Day at Mir Stadium.
