The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency held the "K-R&D Regional Innovation Forum" on the 23rd at the Samjung Hotel in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, jointly with the Korea Industrial Technology Promotion Association, under the theme "R&D Innovation Policies in the AI Era: Finding Solutions in Companies and Regions."
More than 150 participants from companies, research institutes, and related organizations attended the forum to share strategies for adopting AI in the industry and discuss the direction of R&D policies for corporate innovation and regional development. The forum consisted of a keynote lecture, thematic presentations, and a panel discussion.

Taking this forum as an opportunity, the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency plans to strengthen policy research cooperation with the Korea Industrial Technology Promotion Association, enhance AI-based research and development capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises, secure global competitiveness, and foster a sustainable regional innovation ecosystem.
Kim Hyungon, President of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, stated, "AI is a national challenge and a task that both companies and regions must address together," adding, "The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency will leverage its strengths in ICT and AI to build an innovation ecosystem based on industry-academia-research cooperation and support the enhancement of Korea's technological competitiveness."
