According to the program, student volunteers will complete Dementia Partner and Plus training before participating as support staff in cognitive programs conducted at the Namyangju Dementia Safety Center. They will assist with a variety of activities, including occupational therapy, exercise therapy, computerized cognitive training, and creative activities such as woodworking and horticulture, helping participants engage in the programs.

Park Eunjeong, a professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Kyungbok University, stated, "This is a valuable opportunity for students to apply the knowledge they have learned from textbooks in real-world settings, allowing them to develop both expertise and empathy in supporting seniors with dementia." She added, "I hope that this program, which brings together the university and the local community, will become a model for dementia prevention and care."
