On September 23, Sejong City conducted prevention training for all employees to prevent workplace sexual harassment and sexual violence and to foster a healthy organizational culture.

The training was planned in accordance with the Framework Act on Gender Equality and the Act on the Prevention of Sexual Violence and Protection of Victims, and was conducted in separate sessions for managerial and general public officials.

Yangsuk Yang, a designated expert instructor from the Korea Gender Equality Education Promotion Institute, delivered a lecture under the theme "Dignified City Sejong, Our Promise for Gender Equality Together." The session covered the characteristics of gender-based violence, the cultivation of digital citizenship, prevention of secondary harm, and measures to prevent deepfake crimes and stalking.

Mayor Minho Choi, along with bureau and division heads and approximately 300 managerial officials, as well as about 300 public officials at grade 6 or below, attended the training. Through the lecture, they pledged to enhance gender equality awareness and commit to building a healthy public service culture.

Mayor Choi stated, "I hope that the annual sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention training will help us become a healthier and more advanced organization."

The city plans to continue violence prevention education throughout the year by conducting additional training on domestic violence and prostitution prevention in November.
