On September 23, The E&M announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Hollywood Ventures Group in connection with the Cheongna Visual Culture Complex project.
This agreement aims to expand strategic collaborations with companies in the global media and studio industries.
In addition, Glenn Stephen Gainor, co-founder and CEO of Hollywood Ventures Group, is scheduled to be appointed as a non-executive director of The E&M on September 25.
Gainor previously served as Head of Physical Production at Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group. Leveraging his extensive Hollywood experience and deep understanding of the studio-related industry, he plans to advise on strategic partnerships with global media companies and studios for the Cheongna project.
Hollywood Ventures Group will also share its expertise in a variety of areas, including global video (such as film) production, infrastructure, studio operations, and investment.
Earlier, The E&M was invited to the "UTA Night" event held during the Busan International Film Festival, which opened on September 17. The company stated, "Through this, we expanded our global network in the film and video industry, secured external partners, and created cultural synergy."
The Cheongna Visual Culture Complex aims to become the "Hollywood of Asia" by establishing a comprehensive infrastructure that integrates a global studio hub, video content production, and media culture spaces. The company expects that "this agreement will serve as a significant turning point in achieving this vision."
During Gainor's visit to Korea, he was accompanied by representatives from Shadowbox Studios and Keller Williams Realty. One of the main items on the agenda is a discussion on collaboration with Mofac Studios, the production company behind the animated film
A company representative commented, "It is unusual for key figures in the global studio industry to visit Korea directly to discuss the Cheongna project," adding, "This signifies that The E&M's project is evolving beyond a domestic development into a platform for international collaboration."
The representative further stated, "The participation of global studio operators and entertainment networks like Gainor will enhance the credibility of the Cheongna project and significantly expand the possibilities for attracting investment and advancing content into overseas markets."
