Yeongwol County in Gangwon Province successfully hosted a special lecture titled "Run Like It's the Last Time" on the 23rd, inviting legendary baseball player and current baseball commentator Yang Joonhyuk.

The lecture, held at the Yeongwol Community Welfare Center, drew significant attention, with around 200 local residents and students from the Yeongwol area in attendance.
During the event, Yang Joonhyuk delivered a sincere and inspiring talk based on his illustrious career as a player and the lessons he learned through his social activities after retirement. He emphasized the importance of relentless challenge and passion toward one's goals, as well as overcoming crises.
In particular, his message that "true success can only be achieved by giving your best at every moment, as if it were your last" resonated deeply with the audience. Throughout the lecture, his witty storytelling and humorous anecdotes elicited empathy and enthusiastic responses from those present.
After the lecture, Yang Joonhyuk took time to personally encourage the student athletes of the Sangdong High School baseball team. Just two years ago, the school was on the verge of closure with only three students enrolled, but in 2023, it was transformed into a public baseball high school, and with the founding of its baseball team, achieved remarkable changes and significant accomplishments.
He especially congratulated Im Jonghun, the first Sangdong High School student to be drafted as a professional baseball player, who was selected by the Doosan Bears at the 2026 KBO Rookie Draft held on the 17th. Yang Joonhyuk offered warm advice and strongly encouraged the baseball team students to continue striving toward their dreams.
