Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation to Select Mirae Asset Overseas Exchange Scholarship Recipients

The Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation announced on September 23 that it will select the 34th cohort of Mirae Asset Overseas Exchange Scholarship recipients, enabling Korean university students to take on global challenges and grow on the world stage.

The scholarship is open to undergraduate students at domestic four-year universities who are scheduled to participate in their home institution's overseas exchange program during the spring semester next year. Applicants must meet the foundation's requirements regarding financial need, academic performance, and other criteria. Through a document screening and an online video interview, approximately 250 scholarship recipients will be selected.

The selected students will receive scholarships designed to provide substantial support for their studies and daily life abroad. The amount is 7.5 million won for those dispatched to the Americas, Europe, or other regions, and 5.5 million won for those going to Asia, depending on the destination.

Applications will be accepted online from September 23 until 3:00 p.m. on September 29. After a review process, the final list of recipients will be announced on December 4. Detailed information is available on the foundation's website.

A representative from the Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation stated, "The overseas exchange student experience is an important opportunity that provides students with a global perspective and insights into their future careers," adding, "We will continue to actively support Korean youth so they can broaden their knowledge and experiences in diverse ways."

Since the first cohort was selected in 2007, the Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation has consistently chosen and supported exchange students. To date, a total of 7,687 students from 50 countries worldwide-including 2,402 in the United States, 1,053 in Germany, and 602 in China-have gained extensive academic and cultural experiences through the program.

In addition to providing scholarships, the foundation operates a scholarship correspondent program, in which students document and share their academic and daily life experiences abroad as content during their stay. After returning, the foundation continues to offer networking programs to promote beneficial exchanges and growth among scholarship recipients.
