Music, Dance, and Nongak Performances at Sarang Square
Namwon City in North Jeolla Province will hold the 'Living Culture Arts Club Festival' at Namwon Sarang Square on September 28.
According to the city on the 23rd, this event is a festival organized by the Namwon City Living Culture Arts Club Network (Chairman Lee Giyoung), and serves as a local cultural arts festival where over 500 local artists, members of living culture arts clubs, and Namwon citizens come together.
The festival will take place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the area around Namwon Sarang Square. There will be a variety of stage performances by 18 clubs, including music, dance, and Nongak (traditional Korean farmers' music), as well as exhibition and experience booths where visitors can create daily necessities infused with their own artistic sensibilities.
Lee Giyoung, Chairman of the Living Culture Arts Club Network, said, "Various programs have been prepared for Namwon citizens to enjoy together through this festival," adding, "We will continue our efforts to ensure that citizens can participate in enjoyable cultural and artistic activities."
Mayor Choi Kyungsik stated, "This event will enhance the pride of living culture artists and provide citizens with opportunities to experience living culture and the arts," adding, "It will serve as a catalyst for civic unity and the development of living culture and the arts."
