This event was a festival created jointly by citizens and athletes, with the Uijeongbu City Sports Association and over 300 athletes working together to prepare a wide array of activities and attractions for the public. The autumn rain, which lasted until right before the event, cleared up, resulting in clear and cool weather that further increased citizens' satisfaction.
The first part of the festival, held on the 20th, featured the "U-City Healing Walking Contest with Residents of Northern Gyeonggi," which started at the sports complex and included a route passing through Camp Red Cloud (CRC). Mayor Kim Donggeun and about 1,000 citizens participated. Citizens of Uijeongbu and residents of Northern Gyeonggi, from children to seniors, walked together along the CRC passage road, which holds historical significance, making it a meaningful occasion.
The second part, following the walking contest, offered opportunities to experience a variety of sports. Each of the 20 or so experience booths, including kendo, soccer, judo, and volleyball, drew long lines, reflecting the enthusiastic response from citizens.
The third part, held in the evening, featured demonstration performances by athletes in taekwondo, Haedong Kumdo, and belly dance, as well as musical performances by artists such as Mister Pang, TL, and Jeong Dawoon, elevating the festival atmosphere to its peak.

In particular, this event saw strong family participation, offering citizens enjoyable activities that incorporated recreational sports into daily life.
Mayor Kim Donggeun stated, "The passion of the athletes and the interest of the citizens made this festival a success," and added, "Based on the experience gained from this event, we will continue to create even richer sports festivals together with our citizens in the future."
