iM Bank announced that it has made a special contribution of 3 billion KRW to the Daegu Credit Guarantee Foundation to support the revitalization of local alley businesses in Daegu, as part of efforts to assist the regional economy, which has been facing prolonged management difficulties.
Previously, in March and June of this year, iM Bank contributed 10 billion KRW and 5 billion KRW respectively, providing financial support totaling 225 billion KRW to approximately 6,200 small business owners in Daegu over a five-month period. With this additional contribution, guarantee-backed loans totaling 45 billion KRW will be supplied to small business owners operating in alley business districts within Daegu.
For in-person applications, the maximum loan amount is up to 400 million KRW, while non-face-to-face applications through the app allow for up to 70 million KRW. The Daegu Credit Guarantee Foundation guarantees 90% to 100% of the loan amount, and preferential benefits such as reduced guarantee fees, lower interest rates, and interest subsidies are provided.
Applications can be submitted through both in-person and non-face-to-face channels. Applicants can apply for the 'iM Credit Guarantee Foundation Loan' via the iM Bank application, or visit a nearby Daegu Credit Guarantee Foundation branch for an in-person guarantee application. Once the guarantee is approved, they can visit a designated iM Bank branch to sign the loan agreement.
Hwang Byungwoo, President of iM Bank, stated, "Due to higher-than-expected loan demand, we have decided to provide this additional support. We hope that iM Bank's warm financial services will help restore vitality to the local alley businesses."
