High Participation as Ginseng Harvesting Is Easy Without Complicated Instructions
During the 43rd Geumsan World Ginseng Festival, foreign visitors have become deeply engaged in the ginseng harvesting experience.
From the festival's opening day on September 19th until the 22nd, 207 foreigners participated in the experience program, accounting for approximately 17% of the total 1,209 visitors.
This program is a signature experience of the Geumsan World Ginseng Festival, allowing participants to harvest ginseng for free and get up close with Geumsan ginseng.
Additionally, visitors can purchase the harvested ginseng, and there are paid programs such as making ginseng bath products and pressed flower frames. A variety of ginseng foods are also available, including ginseng tortilla, Samtteok Samtteok, red ginseng ade, and ginseng ice cream.
Oh Sua, an official from the Technical Support Division, said, "The process of harvesting ginseng is easy to try without complicated explanations, which is why it is especially popular among foreigners experiencing it for the first time. We will continue to do our best to share the excellence of Geumsan ginseng with people around the world."
As of September 22nd, the 43rd Geumsan World Ginseng Festival had 458,201 visitors, with 4,378 foreigners making up about 1% of the total.
