First Award Recognizes Efforts to Foster Communication with the Educational Community
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) has received first place in the public institution education category at the "2025 Republic of Korea SNS Awards." This marks the first time that the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education has achieved this distinction in the category.
The "Republic of Korea SNS Awards" is hosted by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency. It is regarded as the most prestigious award in the country for recognizing excellence in communication through social media platforms.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education has been effectively delivering educational policies in a clear and transparent manner through various channels such as YouTube, blogs, Instagram, and Facebook. In particular, its video series featuring stories from the field, card news designed to enhance policy understanding, and interactive communication structures that allow direct participation by parents and students have been highly praised for fostering empathy and engagement.
In this competition, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education was recognized as the most innovative new media operator among 118 participating public institutions in the education category, reaffirming its status as a leading education office in future-oriented education.
Looking ahead, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to further strengthen new media-based communication to enhance the transparency and trust of educational policies and to widely promote the value of education in Busan.
Spokesperson Kim Hyeongjin stated, "Our efforts to expand communication with the educational community have been recognized through this award," adding, "We will do our best to make educational policies more accessible and relatable through SNS, realizing an education system in Busan that thrives on communication and empathy."
The awards ceremony for the "15th 2025 Republic of Korea SNS Awards" will be held on October 16 at the International Conference Hall of the Korea Press Center in Seoul.
