Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land and More on a Two-Day, One-Night Itinerary
Geochang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on September 23 that it had invited 10 members of the Korea Tourism Organization's university student press corps, "Travel Leader," for a two-day, one-night promotional trip to publicize the Gamaksan Flower Star Journey, which runs until October 12, as well as other recommended autumn tourist destinations.
"Travel Leader" is a university student promotional press corps operated by the Korea Tourism Organization, introducing the new charms of tourist destinations across the country through online channels such as Instagram, YouTube, and blogs, and contributing to the revitalization of domestic tourism.
On the first day of the fam tour, participants visited the Gamaksan Flower Star Journey site, capturing emotional photos of Gamaksan Mountain covered in purple aster chrysanthemums and the barrier-free sharing trail. They also covered a variety of side events held during the festival, including wellness healing programs, the Flower Star Market, media facade displays, and other events.
Next, they visited Geochang Changpowon, the first local garden designated in South Gyeongsang Province, where they walked along the ecological exploration trail and experienced nature. They also covered a variety of programs at the healing center, such as foot baths, aromatherapy, tea meditation, a kids' cafe, a tropical plant garden, a barefoot walking path, and nighttime landscape lighting.
On the second day, the group visited Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land, where they experienced the nation's first Y-shaped suspension bridge with no supporting piers and participated in forest healing programs such as meditation, barefoot walking, foot baths, and tea therapy, enjoying a time of healing. Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land has been designated as an excellent wellness tourist destination by the Korea Tourism Organization for two consecutive years.
Afterwards, they visited a family hot spring tourist site, enjoyed a free foot bath with hot spring water, and strolled through the cosmos flower fields, fully experiencing the atmosphere of autumn. They also participated in wellness healing programs and events held at the site, adding to the enjoyment.
The content produced during this fam tour will be promoted through the official blog of "Korea Travel Easy," the domestic travel information service operated by the Korea Tourism Organization, as well as the participants' personal social media channels.
Ok Jinsuk, head of the Tourism Promotion Division, stated, "We take pride in Geochang as a leading destination for healing and wellness," and added, "Through this fam tour with the Korea Tourism Organization's Travel Leader, we hope that the charms of Geochang will become widely known to various generations, including Millennials & Gen Z, and contribute to the revitalization of local tourism."
Meanwhile, Geochang County is hosting autumn festivals such as the Gamaksan Flower Star Journey (September 19 to October 12, 2025) and the Geochang Hanmadang Grand Festival (September 25 to September 28, 2025). Recommended autumn tourist destinations include Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land, Geochang Changpowon, and Geochang Suseungdae. As the entire county is filled with the colors of autumn, a large number of visitors are expected to travel to Geochang this season.
