Guidance on How to Participate in the Donation Program

Goheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced that from September 19 to 21, it conducted promotional activities for the Hometown Love Donation Program targeting residents of the metropolitan area and hometown compatriots at the "Goheung County-Nowon-gu Win-Win Direct Transaction Market" held at Junggye Neighborhood Park in Nowon-gu, Seoul.
This direct transaction market provided an opportunity to purchase Goheung County's fresh agricultural and marine specialty products at reasonable prices. Signature agricultural products such as Goheung Korean beef, citron, pomegranate, and kiwifruit, as well as processed seafood products, were especially popular.

The county operated a promotional booth for the Hometown Love Donation Program alongside the sales booths, providing easy-to-understand information on how to participate in the program, the available return gifts, and the use of donation funds. In particular, showcasing Goheung's premium return gifts on-site attracted significant interest from visitors, serving as a key driver for donor engagement and increased participation. Goheung's specialty products are recognized nationwide for their quality, and by collaborating with vendors on Goheung Mall to provide fresh and reliable return gifts, the county is contributing to increasing the income of local farmers and fishermen as well as enhancing the clean brand image of the region.
A county official stated, "We hope that city residents will have the opportunity to experience Goheung's excellent agricultural and marine products firsthand and that their participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program will foster mutual development between rural and urban areas. The donations will be used with care for projects that benefit county residents, such as nurturing local talent, improving welfare, and protecting the environment."
The county plans to continue actively promoting participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program and enhancing the value of the regional brand through direct transaction markets, hometown association events, and festivals in major cities nationwide, including the metropolitan area.
