[Tomorrow's Weather] Cloudy Nationwide with Large Temperature Differences... Rain Expected in Jeju

On September 23, the autumn equinox when the length of day and night are equal, the weather across the country is expected to be mostly cloudy. Rain is forecast for Jeju Island starting in the morning, and for some parts of the southern coast late at night.


The expected precipitation over the two days until September 24 is 20 to 60 millimeters for Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi; and 10 to 40 millimeters for Gwangju, South Jeolla, North Jeolla, Busan, Ulsan, South Gyeongsang, Daegu, North Gyeongsang, Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and Jeju Island.

Morning lows are expected to range from 14 to 21 degrees Celsius, with afternoon highs between 23 and 28 degrees Celsius.


The minimum temperatures in major cities are forecast as follows: Seoul 18 degrees, Incheon 19 degrees, Chuncheon 15 degrees, Gangneung 17 degrees, Daejeon 17 degrees, Jeonju 18 degrees, Gwangju 18 degrees, Daegu 17 degrees, Busan 21 degrees, and Jeju 24 degrees.


The maximum temperatures are expected to be: Seoul 27 degrees, Incheon 26 degrees, Chuncheon 26 degrees, Gangneung 24 degrees, Daejeon 25 degrees, Daegu 25 degrees, Jeonju 27 degrees, Gwangju 28 degrees, Busan 27 degrees, and Jeju 28 degrees.


Some areas will experience a significant temperature difference between day and night, ranging from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius, so special attention to health is advised.


The fine dust concentration is expected to remain at a 'good' level nationwide.


Until the morning, some mountainous areas of Gangwon Province may experience fog with visibility less than 1 kilometer due to low clouds, so drivers should exercise caution.


Strong gusts, thunder, and lightning are expected in the southern and Jeju Island seas, so caution is advised to prevent maritime accidents.


Wave heights are forecast to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East and South Seas, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea.


In offshore areas (about 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
