On September 22, Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province held a preparation briefing for the 25th Masan Gagopa Chrysanthemum Festival at the main conference room of the Masanhappo District Office.
More than 30 participants, including officials from relevant departments, representatives from related organizations, and members of the Changwon City Festival Committee, attended the meeting. They conducted a comprehensive review of preparations in each area, including event venue safety management, chrysanthemum artwork exhibitions, traffic measures, and promotional activities.
After each department and related organization presented their reports, they exchanged opinions regarding festival preparations and pledged to actively cooperate to address anticipated issues and ensure a well-organized event.
Notably, this year, the first festival venue, 3·15 Marine Nuri Park, will feature a retro concept, while the second venue, Happo Waterfront Park, will adopt a newtro (new-retro) concept. Additionally, a nighttime program called 'Chrysanthemum Cinema' will be introduced.
Jung Yangsook, Director of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau, stated, "To ensure the festival is operated effectively as a leading regional event, we will gather a wide range of feedback from experts and citizens. We are committed to thorough preparations so that the festival lives up to its reputation as Changwon's signature autumn event."
