This visit took place over three days from September 20 to 22, with 21 companies from the region participating. The itinerary included a meeting with related organizations and companies based in Osaka, a visit to the 2025 Osaka Kansai World Expo, and a field trip to leading small and medium-sized Japanese enterprises.

Mayor Na Dongyeon departed early, ahead of the 'Nakdong River Council Japan Benchmarking Program' scheduled for September 22 to 24, in order to join key activities such as meetings with business leaders and the Osaka World Expo, all aimed at advancing Yangsan City and its local SMEs.

The delegation's first agenda was a meeting with Park Yanggi, President of the Osaka Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kim Kyungmi, Director of the KOTRA Osaka Trade Center, and other representatives from related organizations and companies in Osaka. They discussed practical support measures for Yangsan companies seeking to enter the Japanese market and ways to strengthen future cooperation. The meeting also featured presentations on the technological capabilities and competitiveness of Yangsan companies, as well as in-depth exchanges on the characteristics of the local Japanese market, entry strategies, and marketing approaches.

For the second agenda, the group visited the exhibition hall of the 2025 Osaka Kansai World Expo, held under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," where they experienced firsthand the latest technologies from various countries and explored strategies for building sustainable industrial ecosystems.

Through this expo visit, local companies are expected to gain insights into future technology trends and explore opportunities for business expansion in emerging industries such as AI, eco-friendly energy, and smart manufacturing.

The delegation also visited Omron Plaza Co., Ltd., a leading small and medium-sized enterprise in Kyoto, to observe the latest products and process innovation cases in the fields of automation and control technology.

Omron is well known for its sensor technology and IoT-based smart factory solutions. This visit provided Yangsan business leaders with a firsthand experience of global technological capabilities and the importance of quality management.

Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "I hope that attending the Osaka Kansai World Expo and visiting leading local companies will provide our local businesses with opportunities to enhance their technological capabilities and gain ideas for future industries. Yangsan City will continue to provide unwavering support to lay the foundation for corporate growth."
