Contributing to Revitalization of the Old Downtown Commercial District
and Expanding the Base of Local Arts and Culture
BNK Financial Group (Chairman Bin Daein) announced on the 22nd that it held the "Play on Busan (Enjoy Busan)" cultural performance at BNK Art Cinema on Gwangbok-ro in Jung-gu, Busan, on the 20th.
"Play on Busan" is a free art program designed to provide local residents with diverse cultural experiences, offering a variety of content each month across genres such as classical music, Korean traditional music, comedy, lectures, and film.
The performance was held on an outdoor stage set up at the entrance of BNK Art Cinema to help revitalize the old downtown commercial district and foster a youth culture community. The invited singer, Kim Pureum, captivated an audience of over 200 people by sharing heartfelt stories and performing sweet music under the theme "Youth, Embracing Dreams." She also sang songs requested by the audience on the spot, without accompaniment.
Kim Pureum began her acting career in 2016 with the film "A Melody to Remember" and gained recognition as the runner-up in the 2022 audition program "Cheongchun Star." Since then, she has continued her musical career as a singer-songwriter, contributing to various soundtracks such as "Never Let Go" for the drama "Agency" and "Ring My Heart" for "The Girl Who Plays."
Chairman Bin Daein stated, "I hope this cultural performance will help revitalize the stagnant old downtown commercial district," adding, "We will continue to make efforts to expand the base of culture and the arts and to engage in social contribution activities for mutual growth with the local community."
On the same day in the morning, BNK Financial Group held "BNK Social Contribution Day," with the participation of about 600 employees. The employees visited 18 traditional markets in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions, carried out the "Alley Companion Mutual Growth Finance Campaign," and delivered holiday foods and daily necessities they purchased directly to nearby comprehensive welfare centers.
