Busan Veterans Affairs Office and Busan National University of Education Develop Veterans Culture Education Content with Prospective Teachers

Shedding Light on Local Independence Activists Through AI-Based Learning Materials
Pilot Classes Held at Elementary Schools

The Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Nam-Il Lee) has been promoting the "Veterans Culture Education Class Content Development Support Project" in cooperation with Busan National University of Education since May, as part of its veterans culture education partnership project with local teacher training universities.

This project aims to develop learning materials linked to regional veterans infrastructure by utilizing the educational and research capabilities of prospective teachers. It also seeks to raise future teachers' interest in veterans affairs and strengthen the next generation's capacity for veterans culture education.

Prospective teachers from Busan National University of Education have researched and produced veterans culture education plans incorporating AI technology. Based on these efforts, the second pilot class, themed "80 Years of Liberation: Tracing Busan's Independence Activists Through AI," is scheduled to take place on the 24th at Yeogo Elementary School in Sajik-dong, Dongnae-gu (Principal Jeon Kyungsoon).

The first pilot class was previously held on the 17th at Sinjeong Elementary School in Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun.

An official from the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office stated, "This project will contribute to revitalizing veterans culture education focused on future generations and play an important role in raising awareness of veterans affairs among youth. We will continue to expand the foundation for veterans culture education in cooperation with local teacher training universities."
