F&B startup AirKitchen Co., Ltd. is offering a variety of gourmet experiences such as pop-up restaurants and cooking events under the slogan "Taste Travels." The company connects chefs and restaurants from around the world, inviting international chefs to Korea and Korean chefs abroad.

The Michelin two-star restaurant The Eight at Macau's Grand Lisboa Hotel is renowned for elevating its signature dim sum to an art form. It is regarded not just as a dining space, but as a culinary hall of fame that reinterprets the essence of Cantonese cuisine with a modern sensibility.

AirKitchen is planning this project under the slogan "Taste Travels." to give people in Korea the opportunity to experience authentic dim sum.

The event will be held for only three days, from October 17 to 19, 2025, at Jue, a Michelin Guide-listed fine dining Chinese restaurant in Hannam-dong, Seoul. Jue's Head Chef Kang Gunwoo, a gold medalist at the World Chinese Cuisine Competition, will collaborate with Head Chef Joseph Tse, who has held Michelin stars for 17 consecutive years.

This collaboration aims to create a platform for cultural exchange through food, combining the intricate dim sum techniques of the Michelin two-star The Eight from Macau with Korea's refined fine-dining sensibilities. Food enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating what new horizons of flavor this partnership will open.

The pop-up event will feature The Eight's signature Cantonese seafood course and collaborative dishes from both restaurants. Carefully selected fresh ingredients, the craftsmanship of Head Chef Joseph Tse, and Jue's sophisticated service will come together to present a culinary world never experienced before.

Reservations can be made through the AirKitchen website starting October 10, and with limited seating available, the event is drawing significant attention from gourmets. This is not just a meal, but a rare opportunity to witness a historic moment where the culinary cultures of two countries meet.

An AirKitchen representative stated, "This is a special stage where you can experience authentic cuisine from a Macau Michelin restaurant in Korea," adding, "We will continue to expand collaborations between renowned chefs from around the world and domestic restaurants, pursuing a borderless journey of gastronomy."

This event was made possible by the active sponsorship of SJM Resorts, alongside organizer AirKitchen. Macau SJM Resorts, which operates the Grand Lisboa Hotel where The Eight is located, is a leading integrated resort operator rooted in Macau, known for providing world-class accommodations, entertainment, dining, and cultural experiences as a premier tourism and leisure service provider.

Additionally, thanks to the sponsorship of Macau SJM Resorts, one guest from The Eight pop-up dining event will be selected by lottery to receive a luxury 3-night, 4-day hotel package for two (including round-trip airfare). The package includes one night each at The Karl Lagerfeld Hotel, designed by Karl Lagerfeld, the Palazzo Versace Macau Hotel, designed by Versace, and the Grand Lisboa Hotel.

Head Chef Joseph Tse of The Eight is a living legend of Cantonese cuisine with nearly 60 years of experience. He has been recognized by the Michelin Guide for 17 consecutive years, and The Eight currently holds two Michelin stars. In the past, the restaurant also achieved three Michelin stars for eight consecutive years, making him a true icon in the culinary world.

Head Chef Joseph Tse of The Eight commented, "The essence of Cantonese cuisine is defined by three elements: freshness, purity, and richness. I adhere to a philosophy that does not allow any sauce to mask the natural flavors of the ingredients. Each of the more than 40 dim sum dishes, including the signature goldfish-shaped shrimp dumpling, is a work of art. This event will be a crystallization of creativity and precision, where taste and visual beauty achieve perfect harmony."
