24 Businesses from 9 Sister Cities and Counties to Participate
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province will host the 'Chuseok Sister Cities Agricultural Specialty Direct Market' for three days from September 24 to 26 at the city hall plaza, ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The event will feature 24 businesses from nine cities and counties, including Osan City, Yeongdong County in North Chungcheong Province, Sokcho City in Gangwon Province, Suncheon City and Jindo County in South Jeolla Province, Namhae County in South Gyeongsang Province, Jangsu County and Namwon City in North Jeolla Province, and Gongju City in South Chungcheong Province.
At the market, visitors can find a wide variety of specialty products needed for holiday tables, ranging from ritual supplies to gift sets.
Yeongdong County will offer grapes, dried persimmons, and wine; Sokcho City will provide salted seafood and pollock snacks; Suncheon City will feature black tea and traditional sauces; Jindo County will sell seaweed, abalone, and turmeric; Gongju City will offer fresh chestnuts and sauces; Namwon City will have sweet rice puffs and loach soup; and Osan City will provide Sema rice, traditional liquor, and candied walnuts, all at prices lower than retail.
Lee Gwonjae, Mayor of Osan City, stated, "The Chuseok market allows consumers to purchase high-quality agricultural specialties at reasonable prices, while also supporting farmers in our sister and friendship cities. We will continue to invigorate the local economy through mutual cooperation and exchange."
