Han Donghoon: "Democratic Party Pushing Yellow Envelope Act, Trying to Abolish Breach of Trust for President Lee"

"Claiming They Want to Abolish the Crime of Breach of Trust to Secure a 'Judgment of Acquittal'"
"Warns That Abolishing the Crime Would Lead to Chaos in Society"

Han Donghoon, former leader of the People Power Party, criticized the Democratic Party of Korea's plan to abolish the crime of breach of trust, claiming, "They want to eliminate the crime so that President Lee Jaemyung can receive a 'judgment of acquittal'." 'Judgment of acquittal' refers to a situation where punishment is no longer possible due to the repeal of the relevant law. On the 21st, Han commented on social media, "Why is the Democratic Party, known as an 'anti-business party,' suddenly trying to abolish the crime of breach of trust?"

Han continued, "The Democratic Party administration has persistently exploited divisive anti-business sentiment to gain power, and even after taking office, they have pushed this sentiment to the extreme by passing the 'Yellow Envelope Act.' So why are they now, out of the blue, proposing to abolish the crime of breach of trust? It is very strange." He further argued, "It is because they are certain that President Lee Jaemyung will be found guilty of breach of trust (President Lee and the Democratic Party know better than anyone that he is guilty), so they want to abolish the crime to ensure President Lee receives a 'judgment of acquittal'." He added, "Their brazenness is shocking, but that is truly the only reason. If President Lee Jaemyung were not on trial for breach of trust, would the anti-business Democratic Party be calling for the abolition of this crime?"

Previously, President Lee was indicted and put on trial for the 'Daejang-dong case,' but the proceedings are currently suspended. The main allegation in the Daejang-dong case is breach of trust, specifically that Lee and his associates funneled profits to the Daejang-dong group, causing losses of approximately 489.5 billion won to Seongnam Development Corporation. Han argued, "The Democratic Party administration is trying to save President Lee Jaemyung alone, even if it means abolishing the crime of breach of trust and turning the country into chaos. They may appear calm, but all they are thinking about is stopping the trial, and they will do anything to achieve that. This is why they are called the most dangerous administration, and he is called the most dangerous person."

Han further explained the crime of breach of trust: "This is the kind of crime it is. Suppose the CEO of a listed company, Company A, sells a core technology worth 100 billion won to a company founded by his wife for just 1 billion won. That is what the crime of breach of trust punishes. If this crime is abolished, such acts cannot be punished," he said, criticizing, "In that case, the shareholders and business partners of the listed company would be ruined, and society would truly descend into chaos."
