According to the North Gyeongsang Provincial Police Agency on the 21st, the Criminal Investigation Unit will carry out digital forensic analysis of the mobile phone on the 22nd. The family will also be allowed to observe the procedure.
It has been reported that the mobile phone of the deceased Captain Ryu (33) contains recordings of verbal abuse by superiors who were named as perpetrators of harassment in his suicide note. The police plan to collect statements from those involved based on the circumstances at the scene, the contents of the note, and the results of the forensic analysis.
A police official stated, "We have made arrangements to allow the family to observe the forensic procedure in order to ensure the credibility of the investigation."
Meanwhile, on the 19th, the police questioned Captain Ryu's father as a reference witness at the Daegu Northern Police Station.
