'From Just 100 Won': Kakao Easy Advertising Surpasses 5,000 Small Business Accounts

Kakao's Easy Advertising platform surpassed 5,000 small business accounts just two and a half months after its launch.

According to the information and communications technology (ICT) industry on September 21, the number of small business accounts using the "Promote My Store" feature on Kakao's Easy Advertising business platform, launched in June, has exceeded 5,000.

Easy Advertising allows users to set a daily advertising budget freely, from as little as 100 won up to 100,000 won. With the automatic creative generation feature, ads can be created easily, and performance can be checked via AlimTalk notifications. Ads are displayed on Kakao Map and KakaoTalk Biz Board. Kakao plans to further enhance its artificial intelligence (AI)-based automatic creative production program and expand ad exposure to areas beyond Kakao Map.

The business owner community operated by Kakao is also receiving positive feedback from small business owners. This community was established to promote interaction among small business owners in the same industry. It shares a variety of useful information for business, such as government support programs and AI utilization know-how.

Starting with food and beverage business owners in May, Kakao launched a community for fashion and beauty business owners last month. This month, the company plans to recruit the third group of food and beverage business owners. Kakao holds seminars for business owners participating in the community and provides offline advanced training and networking opportunities to outstanding participants.

A Kakao representative stated, "Beyond opening up new sales channels and supporting marketing, we will provide a platform where small business owners can achieve results in various areas and strengthen their business foundations."
