From Scholarship Recommendations and Searches to Applications
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sanghoon) has established a "Customized Scholarship System" that allows students to view and manage their scholarships at a glance.
This system, launched on September 17 through "Pukyong AI," was developed to provide customized scholarship information tailored to each student's individual conditions.
Pukyong AI is an AI-based, student-centered intelligent educational support system within Pukyong National University's portal system.
The system enhances accessibility and convenience by enabling students to view both on-campus and off-campus scholarship information in one place. Once students log in, they can check the status of their scholarship benefits by semester and by academic year.
Previously, students could only check their scholarship information individually through tuition bills or scholarship certificates.
By using the system's search function, students can look up not only on-campus scholarships such as merit-based and work-study scholarships, but also various off-campus scholarship opportunities, allowing them to apply or challenge themselves according to their eligibility. They can also check the status of their scholarship applications.
If a student bookmarks a scholarship of interest, the system will send a separate notification when the application period opens. The scholarship recommendation menu also suggests customized scholarships based on the student's basic information.
Tuition at Pukyong National University ranges from 1.7 million to 2.24 million won per semester depending on the field of study. According to the university information disclosure in August, the annual scholarship amount per student reaches 3.12 million won. The university also offers special scholarships, such as the Dongwon Frontier Scholarship, which selects students with a challenging spirit and provides 6 million won per semester.
Kim Cheolsoo, Dean of Student Affairs at Pukyong National University, stated, "We expect that this system will encourage students to actively utilize the scholarship system in their academic and career planning, challenge themselves with new scholarship programs, and maximize their scholarship benefits."
