Aptitude Assessments and Practical Group Activities
to Enhance Idol Babysitting Capabilities
Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province held an Idol Babysitter Roundtable from September 19 to 22 at the multipurpose hall on the fourth floor of the Women's Welfare Center.
This roundtable was organized for 160 idol babysitters, divided into five groups, with the aim of improving the quality of the idol babysitting service and strengthening communication and capabilities among the babysitters.
During the roundtable, comprehensive aptitude and personality assessments were conducted to evaluate suitability as idol babysitters. In addition, group activities were held to enhance practical skills in handling common situations in the field, such as children throwing tantrums, safety accidents, and conflicts between siblings.
Lee Seongmi, head of the Women and Youth Division, stated, "Idol babysitters are not simply caregivers, but important partners who guide children's emotional and physical growth. Through this roundtable, we expect to further enhance the professionalism of the babysitters and increase the credibility of Yangsan City's idol babysitting service."
The idol babysitting support program provides in-home care services by idol babysitters for children under the age of 12 in families experiencing gaps in childcare due to reasons such as both parents working. Government support can be applied for by visiting the local administrative welfare center or through the Bokjiro website.
